Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join a busy hotel and spa environment, supporting the delivery of excellent service across restaurant, bar, breakfast, functions, outside areas and day to day food and beverage operations.

This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys being visible on the floor, supporting service and helping the team deliver a warm, professional and memorable guest experience. You will work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager and wider management team to keep service running smoothly, maintain standards and support the development of the department.

The role would suit someone with strong managerial experience in hospitality who brings the right attitude, energy and team mindset. You will need to be adaptable, guest focused and confident supporting different areas of the operation, stepping in where needed and helping create a positive working culture where the team feels supported, clear and motivated.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating great guest experiences. The right person will bring confidence, care and consistency, with the ability to support service standards, team training, communication and daily operational flow across a busy hotel environment.

This role does not provide accommodation, so you must be able to reliably commute or relocate to the area.

Assistant Food and Beverage Manager Ideal Profile:

  • Previous managerial or supervisory experience within hospitality, hotel, restaurant, bar, events or food and beverage operations
  • Strong guest service focus with a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences
  • Positive and hands on approach, with the confidence to support the team during busy service
  • Team focused leader who enjoys coaching, encouraging and developing others
  • Adaptable and willing to support across restaurant, bar, breakfast, functions and wider service areas
  • Calm, professional and organised with the ability to keep service flowing smoothly
  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of stock, labour, sales and daily operational performance
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to bring structure, clarity and confidence to the team

  • Support the smooth running of daily food and beverage operations
  • Assist with service across restaurant, bar, breakfast, functions, outside areas and events
  • Support daily briefings and help maintain clear communication across the team
  • Coach, motivate and develop team members to improve confidence, standards and consistency
  • Deliver excellent guest experiences with a focus on warmth, care and professional service
