This process is designed to take the stress out of job searching. With Ginger Hospitality, you do not have to apply to multiple venues or chase responses. You will have a dedicated point of contact and a team who knows the Hospitality Industry inside and out.
Your CV is often the first impression you make. In Hospitality, it needs to be clear, concise and tailored to the role.
For kitchen roles such as Chef de Partie or Sous Chef, focus on your technical skills, previous kitchens, service styles and key responsibilities.
For Front of House roles like Waiter, Bartender or Front of House Manager, highlight customer service, team leadership and guest experience.
Keep your formatting simple, avoid lengthy paragraphs and list achievements with bullet points. Include your availability, location and any certificates such as Food Hygiene or Personal Licence. Always tailor your CV to the job, especially if the venue has specific requirements.
Our team can help review your CV and give feedback. We want to help you stand out for the right reasons and get noticed by employers looking for skilled, reliable professionals.
Interviews for Permanent Hospitality Roles are your chance to show what you bring to the table. Whether you are applying for a Head Chef, Restaurant Manager or Bar Supervisor role, preparation makes all the difference.
Learn about the venue in advance and its style of service, layout and values. We will assist you with this by sharing key information about the operation, what to expect and who you will be meeting. Understanding the venue’s identity and how it aligns with your experience and strengths will help you answer questions with confidence.
Employers often ask about your past experience, how you handle pressure and how you work with others. We will help you prepare by reviewing common questions and talking through how you can demonstrate your approach through real examples. If there are specific attributes the employer is looking for, we will make sure you are aware of them ahead of time.
We will also talk you through the logistics. You will know where the interview is taking place, how to get there, who your contact is and what the dress code will be. If the interview is online, we will help you get set up with the platform and ensure you feel ready for the call.
Being prepared helps you feel calm, confident and focused. With our guidance and your experience, you will be in a strong position to make a positive impression and secure the role.
Permanent Hospitality Roles offers many routes to progression.
In the kitchen, you might start as a Kitchen Porter or Commis Chef and move up to Chef de Partie, Sous Chef and Head Chef.
In Front of House, you can progress from Waiter or Bartender to Supervisor, Assistant Manager and General Manager.
Career progression depends on experience, training, reliability and attitude. Some venues also offer internal training and development programmes. At Ginger, we can guide you on your next step and help you plan for the future.
If you want to grow into a leadership position or explore new types of hospitality businesses, let us know. We can recommend roles that build your skills and bring you closer to your long-term goals.
I need to say a massive thank you to the team at Ginger. I was at a point in my career where I needed a change and have now ended up with a position at my dream company, Le Manoir. Any questions I had in the process were answered promptly and in a friendly manner, and all information was readily available ahead of interview and trial.
Honestly the best agency I’ve ever been involved with, will recommend to anyone serious about pursuing their next venture in hospitality!
