Interim Hotel Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Interim Hotel Manager to take the operational lead within a distinctive luxury country house hotel.

Offering individually designed accommodation, refined dining, relaxed bar service and intimate events, this is a hands on leadership role within a property where personalised hospitality and attention to detail are central to the guest experience.

The Interim Hotel Manager will provide stability, direction and visible leadership across the hotel, supporting departmental teams while ensuring consistently high standards throughout the guest journey.

This role would suit an accomplished hotel operator who can quickly understand an established business, build strong relationships with the team and maintain commercial and operational performance throughout the interim period.

This role does provide accommodation, you must be able to initially travel to accommodation.

Interim Hotel Manager Ideal Profile:

  • Strong hotel management experience within a red star, luxury, boutique, country house or quality independent hotel environment
  • Confident overseeing a multi departmental operation including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, guest services and wider hotel operations
  • A highly visible and hands on leadership style with the ability to quickly build trust, provide direction and motivate an established hotel team
  • Excellent understanding of luxury guest service with the confidence to manage expectations, resolve concerns and maintain a highly personalised experience
  • Commercially astute with a strong understanding of hotel performance, departmental costs, staffing, revenue opportunities and operational efficiencies
  • Calm, adaptable and decisive with the ability to enter an established operation, assess priorities quickly and provide stability during a period of transition

 

Interim Hotel Manager Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the hotel, maintaining effective communication and coordination across all operational departments
  • Provide visible leadership throughout the property, supporting departmental managers and ensuring teams have the direction and resources required to perform effectively
  • Maintain consistently high standards across accommodation, food and beverage, housekeeping, front office and the wider guest experience
  • Oversee the complete guest journey from arrival through to departure, responding proactively to feedback and ensuring service remains warm, polished and highly personalised
  • Monitor operational and commercial performance including staffing levels, departmental expenditure, revenue opportunities, service delivery and overall business efficiency
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and departmental leaders to maintain continuity, address immediate operational priorities and leave clear structures in place for the longer term management of the hotel
