The Cateys 2024, a prestigious event in the hospitality industry, recently took place at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London, bringing together the industry’s finest to honour their exceptional achievements. This year’s awards were a testament to the unwavering dedication and innovation within the sector.
Lifetime Achievement Award: Michel Roux
Michel Roux was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his remarkable 34-year tenure at Le Gavroche in Mayfair. Roux has significantly contributed to the industry by mentoring young chefs through the Roux Scholarship and leading a two-Michelin-starred establishment.
Special Award: Genuine Dining Co Duo
Chris Mitchell and Robbie Laidlaw, CEO and Business Development Director of Genuine Dining Co, received the Special Award. Their inspiring 3,000-mile Atlantic row in December raised over £250,000 for Hospitality Action, showcasing their resilience and commitment to the cause.
International Outstanding Achievement Award: Sharan Pasricha
Sharan Pasricha, founder of Ennismore, was recognized with the International Outstanding Achievement Award. Since 2011, Pasricha has expanded the Hoxton hotel brand globally and successfully revitalized Gleneagles, which also won the Best Employer Award.
