Checco’s, Great Harwood

Jodie treated herself to a delightful meal at Checco’s Italian restaurant in Great Harwood this weekend. The highlight of the evening was the main course of crab, prawn, and shrimp linguine, a dish that Jodie described as ‘absolutely beautiful’. Checco’s serves some of the most authentic Italian food in the Ribble Valley, and is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

The Shed in Stydd Gardens

Craig paid another visit to the hidden gem, The Shed in Stydd Gardens, immersing himself in the tranquil ambiance of the venue. The Shed at Stydd Gardens is a perfect getaway, surrounded by nature’s beauty and the soothing sounds of the garden. Craig enjoyed some light bites in the sunshine, including bruschetta and a mouth-watering charcuterie board. Everything looks delicious!

Manchester’s Northern Quarter

Colin enjoyed the sunny weather in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, starting with a delightful tapas experience. Colin then continued the adventure at 63 Degrees, an informal fine dining experience in a Parisian-style brasserie with a menu of innovative Modern French dishes. Colin noted that the drinks were lovely, and the staff were extremely attentive. Colin then visited Piccadilly Gardens for drinks and live music, enjoying jerk chicken from the street food village.

20 Stories

Colin and his friends wrapped up the day with breathtaking views of the city at 20 Stories, providing a truly memorable experience. 20 Stories is a High-Style destination for Modern British dining, especially known for their innovative cocktails and sweeping views of Manchester City Centre. The 20 Stories kitchen have created menus that showcase the best of the Northwest, with an aim to source ingredients locally. Colin would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Manchester.

The White Hart in Sabden

Accompanied by a refreshing pint of Madri, Megan enjoyed the warm weather and the lively atmosphere of the pub, filled with friendly locals and an exceptional front-of-house team. The White Hart is Megan’s preferred local pub, as it never disappoints. The beer is always cold, the food always delicious, and the staff always lovely. Megan would recommend The White Hart at Sabden to anyone in the area, especially after a long walk in the gorgeous countryside that surrounds the pub.

Wilfred’s at Crow Wood

Paige indulged in a culinary experience at Wilfred’s at Crow Wood. She relished the truffled chicken main, served with Aspen fries and a delectable leek pastry. To complement the meal, Paige also enjoyed some tantalizing Pornstar martinis, adding a touch of glamour to her dining experience. Paige described everything as divine, the food was fantastic and the Pornstar Martinis were even better!

Northcote

Paige also paid a visit to Northcote this weekend. Northcote is a country house located in The Ribble Valley, and is home to a renowned Michelin Star restaurant. Exquisite menus, championing the finest produce and honouring the ingredients, are created by Lisa Goodwin-Allen, one of the UKs top chefs regularly seen on BBC’s Great British Menu, Saturday Kitchen and James Martin’s Saturday Morning. Northcote is definitely somewhere everyone should experience at least once. The dining experience is one you’ll struggle to find anywhere else, and the service is consistently impeccable.
