We’re back to spill the beans on our recent Bank Holiday adventures and trust us, it’s been nothing short of spectacular. As the weekend unfolded, Team Ginger was scattered across different corners, embracing the much-needed break with open arms.

Star Inn, Harome

Robyn embarked on a culinary escapade that brought her to the splendid Star Inn Harome. Rising like a phoenix from the ashes, this Michelin-star gem welcomed her with open arms. The menu boasted a tantalizing symphony of flavours including a pre-starter of Lindisfarne Oysters, a tantalizing starter of Raviolo, and a show-stopping main course of Duck Three Ways that had Robyn’s taste buds dancing. And let’s not overlook the dessert, an exquisite Soufflé adorned with Oakchurch Cherries and Lavender Ice Cream as well as beautiful decoration. As if that wasn’t enough, she also made a pit stop at The Abbey Inn, where history and flavours mingled in a captivating way.

Colne Blues and Rhythm Festival

James caught the contagious rhythm of the Colne Blues and Rhythm Festival, an event that transformed pubs into lively musical havens. With over 2000 attendees each day, the festival was an electrifying experience. Tubbs of Colne was in on the action too, contributing to the festival’s infectious energy.

Manchester Pride

Josh infused his weekend with the vibrant spirit of Manchester’s Pride celebrations. From the exuberant parade to the infectious street revelry, the city was drenched in colour and jubilation. The Pride festivities merged seamlessly with the Bank Holiday vibes, creating an unforgettable medley of joy and celebration.

Bovey Castle

Craig’s holiday escape was the stuff dreams are made of, seeking solace in Cornwall’s soothing embrace. His journey kicked off in style at the remarkable Bovey Castle. Nestled amidst nature’s finest, this countryside estate not only pampered him with serene views from his room but also pampered his palate with the magnificence of the 3 AA Rosette Great Western Grill. Award-winning dishes danced on his taste buds, and every bite was a celebration of traditional flavours.

Mullion Cove

Craig’s adventure continued as he ventured into the sun-kissed haven of St Ives. His next destination was Mullion Cove, a gem cradled between cliffs teeming with life. While the turquoise sea often wrestles with the powerful Atlantic forces, Craig was blessed with calm waters and breathtaking views. No storms in sight, just the blissful harmony of nature and a refreshing dose of vitamin Sea.

Porthmeor Beach Cafe

Fresh sea air can do wonders, but even that couldn’t quell Craig’s appetite for fantastic food. He found himself at Porthmeor Beach Cafe, a true delight for both senses and scenery. The balcony offered front-row seats to the beach’s enchanting theatre, while the locally sourced produce turned into culinary masterpieces. As the waves whispered stories, Craig indulged in flavours that sang of Cornwall’s bounty.

Source Kitchen, St Ives

Craig’s culinary escapade didn’t end there. Source Kitchen St Ives beckoned with promises of locally grown wonders and artisanal treasures. The pride in their produce was palpable, and each dish was a testament to the region’s richness. Amid the cosy atmosphere, Craig revelled in the symphony of flavours, a melody composed by the hands of local farmers and fishermen.

Silco Bar and Kitchen

As the sun began to set on his memorable Cornwall holiday, Craig wrapped up his journey with a visit to Silco Bar and Kitchen in the heart of St Ives Harbour. A newcomer on the scene, this harborside gem captured his heart with its inviting ambience and tantalizing aromas. It was the perfect farewell meal, where he savoured every bite of a beautiful, fresh creation while basking in the calming sea breeze. To top it off, he indulged in the unique flavours of St Ives Gin, a local delight that perfectly complemented the picturesque setting.

As the sun set on this Bank Holiday special, from fine dining to foot-tapping music, from pride-filled parades to coastal charm, this long weekend was all about making memories. We’re stoked to have shared our adventures with you.
