I began my hospitality career at the age of 15, waiting tables in a local pub – enjoying the passion, buzz and atmosphere of a busy restaurant.
Thinking back – I remember the manager selling a bottle of Dom Perignon Champagne and thinking I want to have the confidence to do that one day.
Fast forward through the years; running Ribble Valley Inn Sites, working at the London 2012 Olympic Games and eventually becoming General Manager of the iconic Northcote in Langho. In 2015 I was honoured to win a Caterer Acorn Award which recognised the top 30 under 30 within the industry – award winners include Marco Pierre White, Jason Atherton to name but a few. These experiences have given me the confidence and knowledge of our truly wonderful industry.
Delivering Excellence Every Day
Moving into recruitment for me was a natural move – it gave me a structured work-life-balance while keeping me in touch with my industry peers and colleagues. On a daily basis I still feel the passion they have for their businesses and it’s great to feel we are contributing to their success.
My Motto has always been to “Deliver Excellence Every Day” and it is true in which ever operation I have been in – if you deliver excellence everyone succeeds.
Our clients are varied – which I love. City centres or rural locations, Pubs, Hotels, Michelin Stars, Rosettes, Pop Ups, Theatres, Bars, Stadiums, Global Events and even locals in the Village where I live.
Over the past 6 months it has been an honour and a privilege to work with all the above – to build teams, introduce new practices and highlight Ginger Hospitality as a go-to-place, receiving respect from all three avenues – Client, Candidate and Ginger.
With time so rare these days – I pride myself on delivering to my clients and candidates who in honesty are my friends. We as a team want to give our “friends” the best service possible, allowing them to focus on their businesses and careers, delivering excellence every day.
